Jay Goldfarb, Ph.D., is CEO and Partner of Big Sky Energy Advisors. With more than 20 years of investment banking experience, Jay has executed numerous mergers & acquisitions, private placements and strategic advisory mandates. He has worked closely with clients across industry sectors guiding them through complex transaction issues.

For the firm’s Oil & Gas clients, Jay has extensive experience working with petroleum engineers and landmen compiling and analyzing operating data, engineering reserves, land and title records. In addition, he works with geologists and wildcatters to generate and market prospects. He has extensive connections in the North American Oil & Gas Industry, and speaks at Oil & Gas Industry conferences on topics such as project financing and estimating reserves.

Prior to founding Big Sky, Jay was a Managing Director and head of Oil & Gas investment banking at the Woodbridge Financial Group and a Vice President at Mesirow Financial, Inc. Jay holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Judy Beck, CPA, is COO and Partner of Big Sky Energy Advisors. Judy has over 20 years of accounting, financial services and investment banking experience. She has advised on Oil & Gas property acquisitions and divestitures in nearly all major basins. Prior to founding Big Sky, Judy was a Vice President of Minneapolis-based investment bank, Woodbridge Financial Group, and a sales executive at Robert Half Management Resources. In addition to her financial services experience, Judy worked over 10 years in public accounting, advising clients ranging from closely held companies to Fortune 500 corporations. Judy is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting.
